FoodWaste.ie is the national programme to promote the Food Waste Regulations and is an initiative of the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government and Cré-Composting & Anaerobic Digestion Association of Ireland.

The aim is to promote a clear understanding of the Food Waste Regulations (SI 508 of 2009). The initiative is to provide all the promotional tools to local authorities and waste collectors to assist them in promoting the regulation.

This initiative has an advisory committee which has representatives from waste collection industry, compost processing sites, regulators and industry bodies which represent the waste producers affected by the regulations.
